# VKB Search: How can I find an evaluated variant within my account?
## Learn how to use the global VKB search to find evaluated variants by gene, transcript, HGVS, or SeqOne ID, directly from any page on the platform.
You can search your organization's entire Variant Knowledge Base (VKB) from anywhere on the platform.
To access the VKB Search, click the **VKB icon ⛁** in the top-right corner of the main header:
This opens a side panel where you can find a variant using any of the following criteria:
- By **gene name**
- By **RefSeq transcript number**
- By **HGVS annotation**
- By its **SeqOne identifier** (using the format: Genome\_variant\_chromosome\_position\_REF\_ALT present in the variant page URL)
You can also refine your search by filtering for a **genome version** (GRCh37 or GRCh38) and/or a specific **pathogenicity class**.
When you click a variant in the search results, a **details page** opens. This page displays key information, including its genomic position, HGVS annotations, pathogenicity classifications, and a history of all comments and evaluations made across different analyses.
The **"Open on analysis"** button will take you directly to that variant within the context of the specific analysis.

### Limitations
> **Note:** The VKB search is a beta (RUO) feature. It currently only finds **SNVs and indels** that have been annotated on your SeqOne platform account. Variants that were imported into the VKB from an external source will not appear in search results unless they have since been processed and evaluated in a SeqOne analysis.
