Why is my sample in “Verification failed” status?
Learn what can be behind a sample Verification Fail.
If a sample does not pass the verification step, you can see in the tooltip next to the status "verification failed" a description of the error.
- Very often, the message "Unexpected EOF (End Of File)" will indicate a truncated file, due to either an upload interruption, or a corrupted file before upload. It would be necessary to make checks on your side before reloading this sample.
- Unexpectedly empty files, due to either transfer problem or sequencing issues, can also cause the Verification Fail error.
- When uploading VCF files for tertiary analyses, a format incompatibility or unconventional VCF can also trigger the Verification Failed status - the tooltip will tell you more about the error.
